Losing 2 hours on a road trip isn’t fun, especially when you’re tired. We did manage to make some major headway – and had fun doing it too!
The Grand Canyon was spectacular to say the least and Marfa was a pleasant surprise. We even scored a Marfa Film Festival poster from some friendly Marfans (Ha! Marfans! I love it!). And Austin is like a second home to us. Thanks to our BFFs Deirdre and Emilie for letting us crash. We will be sticking around the area until Thursday for some much needed R&R and catch up time with 2 of our favorite people.
Some highlights:

Somehow, I always manage to get caught behind slow drivers. This one took the cake and ate it too.

Another view of Fred Flintstone as we passed him. FYI, they were going about 30MPH on a 65MPH two-lane freeway.

The whole gang at the Grand Canyon. Spectacular, spectacular! Note: We did not intend to dress like twins.

At the entrance to Marfa, TX. Funky little town with lots of personality!

I am a happy (car) camper: lunch and an iced coffee in Marfa, TX at a little food stand called "The Food Shark."
Once again, more photos here!
